J. J. Jonas

J. J. Jonas, a Texas native, was born in Abilene on August 12, 1957.  Jonas is a writer and poet with coaching experience in University Interscholastic League (UIL) and Texas Forensic Association (TFA).  Several of her scripts with Brooklyn Publishing have placed in national competition  (NFL and CFL).  She has coached state champions and finalists in both poetry and prose interpretation, and has advanced in UIL One-Act Play in Texas to the state level of competition in the 2A, 3A, and 5A divisions.  Jonas is currently employed by Salado ISD in Texas where she teaches English, journalism, and coaches the interp team, including her daughter, Dixie Darling (below).

J. David Abbott
  
           J. David Abbott, born October 26, 1958, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, grew up in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Memphis, Tennessee. He has lived in the San Francisco Bay area, Nyack, New York, Santa Monica, and Newport Beach, California. A recovering salesman and one-time national sales training manager over North America for the largest Japanese manufacturer of photocopiers,  Abbott has retired from business to write full time.  After moving to Texas in 2003, he has earned the official title of Road Warrior and Wanderer.
